Configuring Logic Parameters
Placing nodes is only the first step. For a Chain to function correctly, every node must be configured with precise financial and logical parameters. This configuration takes place in the Properties Panel on the right side of the screen.
1. Capital Allocation (% Rollover)
In the Action Node (Buy/Sell/Split), you must define how much capital flows into the trade. PolyOrbit offers two modes.
Absolute Value: You specify a fixed amount of USDC (e.g., 500 USDC). If your redeemed funds are less than this amount, the chain will fail safely.
Percentage (Rollover): You specify a percentage of the incoming funds (e.g., 100%). This is dynamic. If your previous trade won 1,200 USDC, a 100% setting will reinvest exactly 1,200 USDC. This is the recommended setting for compounding chains.
2. Price Limits (Max Price)
To protect against buying at the top of a spike, you can set price constraints.
Limit Price: The maximum price you are willing to pay per share.
Example: If you set a Limit Price of $0.60 for a "YES" outcome, but the market price is currently $0.65, the Chain will not execute the trade. It will wait until the price falls below your limit or the Chain expires.
3. Chain Duration (TTL)
Every Chain has a "Time to Live" (TTL). This prevents old, forgotten chains from executing months later.
Expiry Date: You can set a specific date and time for the Chain to deactivate.
Event Expiry: You can configure the Chain to deactivate automatically if the Source Market does not resolve by a specific deadline.
